MBBR (Moving Bed Bio-Reactor) technology is a better alternative to conventional wastewater treatment plants that are large-sized, power intensive and require constant monitoring. It offers an effective option where space and power are scarce.

Sewage passes through an equalization tank into the MBBR reactor, where free-moving biofilm carriers under constant aeration host the bacteria that break down organic load. A tube settler / clarifier separates treated water from biomass before it moves to tertiary treatment.
